Will Hemlock Grove be renewed for a second season?
Olivia Godfrey would be in an eventual season 2, but Netflix is reluctant to renew the show and are right now hearing sales pitches (that is not usually necessary if a network thinks a show is strong). The decision will be made public within the next week.

Famke Janssen: “The second season is being discussed. It’s not in the works. But it’s being discussed. We will all find out soon whether that is actually going to be happening. Soon as in the next couple weeks, by June or something I think they need to make up their mind. Contractually I’m part of this show. So, if it goes again you will be more than likely to see me again.”

The Hollywood Reporter (THR): What do the [Netflix viewer] algorithms say about the Hemlock Grove audience?

Ted Sarandos (Netflix Chief Content Officer): Hemlock is much more polarizing; you either love it or hate it. The crossover for the people who love the show was American Horror Story, not The Vampire Diaries. It was incredibly popular in the Nordics because of the popularity of the Skarsgards [Bill Skarsgard stars] and in Latin America, where the horror genre is very big.

THR: Will you renew it?

Sarandos: We’re hearing the pitches for the second season with plotlines and storylines now.

THR: How are you making decisions about whether to renew or cancel a series?

Cindy Holland (Netflix Vice President Original Programming): We’ll certainly look at how much viewing activity is taking place compared to what we projected when we licensed the series. How do we think it will play out over time? Is there an audience that justifies the expense? Certainly, what does it do for the overall conversation about Netflix? And long term, does it mean incremental subscribers or that subscribers stay around longer?

Ну сколько ж можно тянуть кота за разные непотребные места? Уже либо да, либо нет. И при том очень желательно, чтобы да!
Как бы им намекнуть, что желающих очень много? Да к тому же мы так желаем, что у нас один идет за два обычных фаната!

на тумблере уже составляют петицию для продления на второй сезон))

ну вот чем-то они недовольны((
и еще им придется искать сценариста, МакГриви вроде как не собирается больше писать книги про героев ХГ(

А мужик-то с юмором! Написал роман, завернул сюжет, так что теперь еще пару сезонов расхлебывать его придется и внезапно утратил интерес к продолжению. Печально!
